Join Team BRB For Extra Life 2012!

Every year, there’s a stark reminder that the gaming community is truly, exceptionally and totally awesome: Extra Life.  Every year, the great and the good from the gaming world join forces and raise money for thousands of sick kids around the world by playing games for 24 hours straight.  Sounds awesome, right?  Well, that’s because it is.

This year, Extra Life will be held on Saturday October 20 and kicks off at 8 am in your local timezone and runs for a full 24 hours, ending at 8 am on Sunday October 21.  If you can’t do the full 24 hours in one day, then break it up over a few days.  You’ll still be raising money to help out kids who have fallen on tough times, which is what the event is all about.

Last year, Extra Life raised over $1 MILLION.  As high scores go, that’s pretty good – but, as we all know, high scores exist to be beaten.  BigRedBarrel will be getting well and truly stuck in to Extra Life 2012, and we plan to show the rest of the internet how it’s done.
