  1. Jo: “It’s very easy for us to be like look how s**t that is huh huh but people worked really hard on it.”

I think that’s true of Game of Thrones and the Marvel/Netflix series too.

    • Which is why I will never be able to dislike last season of Game of Thrones. Too many people put 1000% in it. I just don’t think D&D should be rewarded for it either. They are now treated are the royalty of the TV, while some massively under-appreciated TV series *khe* *khe* Twin Peaks: The Return *khe* *khe* didn’t get any noms (for example) in the year it came out.

    • I personally feel there is a difference between criticising someone’s work and criticising the person. The YouTube channel we were discussing, Corridor Crew, do criticise VFX work in some of their videos but I have yet to see them criticise the people behind the images themselves. They know, based on their own experience, how difficult it is to make things look good. They never come off as mean or dismissive either.

When we talk about GoT or Iron Fist or whatever, I don’t feel we are mean to the people who make those projects. Criticising the writing isn’t criticising the writers.
